Advisory consultations and planning engagements
Two engagement types, both fee-only and scoped in writing before any work starts. Choose by the depth of decision you are facing — a single question, or a full written plan.

Advisory consultation
A single focused session for one decision: a pending relocation, an equity vesting event, a pension transfer question, or a residency-status check. You leave with a clear verbal read and a short written note of the key points and next steps.
- One question, one session, one written note
- Best before a move or a taxable event, not after
- Fee-only; scope agreed in advance

Written planning engagement
A fixed-scope engagement that produces a written report: your residency status in each country, exposure areas, and a prioritised action list covering the coming year and the five years after it. Follow-up advisory consultations keep the plan current as your situation moves.
- Written report with prioritised actions
- Cross-border residency and income mapping
- Follow-up consultations to track implementation
What an engagement can cover
Tax residency and status
Thai residency under the 180-day rule, read against the residency test in your home country, with a clear written view of where you are tax-resident and why.
Cross-border income timing
Salary, bonus, equity vesting and rent scheduled across two tax years to reduce avoidable exposure.
Pension and provident funds
How pension and provident fund balances are treated on arrival in or departure from Thailand, mapped against home-country rules.
Retirement and investment planning
Long-horizon planning denominated in THB and a second currency, structured around your residency path rather than a single market.
Remittance planning
How funds brought into Thailand are treated, and the sequencing that keeps remittance consistent with your residency status.
Advisory follow-up
Follow-up consultations when you relocate or your income changes, refreshing the plan so the cross-border picture stays current.
Questions we are often asked
Are you a regulated financial adviser?
SyncSphere Financial Planning provides advisory consultations and written planning engagements. We do not act as a licensed securities dealer and take no commission on investment products. Where implementing a recommendation needs a licensed provider, we say so and can refer you on.
How are fees set?
Engagements are fee-only. The scope and fee are agreed in writing before any work starts, so you know the cost before we begin. We do not take commission from any product or provider.
Do you file tax returns?
No. Annual tax filing is not part of an engagement. We focus on planning; for filing we refer you to a local tax accountant in the relevant jurisdiction.
Which countries do you cover?
An engagement begins from the Thai side of a cross-border position and works outward. The depth of home-country detail depends on the country and on documents you can share; we are clear up front about where a referral is the better route.
Is the first call free?
The 30-minute scoping call is free. It exists to confirm fit and scope — not to give advice. Charged work begins only after a written scope is agreed.
